Although noone in our house has any disabilities, and certainly don’t need the assistance that those Lift Chairs provide, we did actually purchase one recently. The reason? Well we’re not the only ones that sit in chairs in our house. You see, just down the street is Gladys, an elderly lady (& I say “lady” with a tounge firmly in the cheek) who insists on visiting us. Lonely I think she is. Long story short, this old gal is about 400lbs and when she visits us, which is almost daily, she sits in our regular chairs & has slowly wrecked them all. It was actually cheaper to buy a lift chair that was built for heavy people.
