We have a nice old two story house, but heavy emphasis is on old. So old in fact that it’s not really worth spending any more money on, but therin lies a bot of a problem. You see we’re “blessed” with the fact that my ailing mother in law is going to have to come and live with us, but the trouble is she’s got herself so darn fat that she can hardly walk anymore and has taken to pretty well living on her mobility scooter. We also have a problem with the house in that it only has bedrooms upstairs. Ma’s been hinting for one of these Stair Chair Lifts but I don’t see how we would install it, unless we got one of those outside models

Hope your mother in law doesn’t see this, calling her fat. You’ve got a bit of a nerve. Couldn’t you have simply said she has a weight problem? Glad you’re not my son in law.
