If you’re like most adult Americans, you’re probably overweight. According to the latest centers for disease control studies, almost two out of three American adults are overweight and better than one in four are considered obese – having a body mass index of thirty five or above. This means you need to do some exercises to lose weight. Generally speaking, the name of the game when it comes to exercises to lose weight is cardiovascular work. You want to get your heart rate up, you want to do it for a prolonged period, and you want to do it at least three or four times a week. Anything that uses your whole body – like certain aerobics classes, swimming, or the rowing machine – will burn even more calories, burn even more fat, and build more muscle.
