Ionic Room Air Cleaners

Ionic Room Air Cleaners come in a number of styles, models and with many features. In order to make a good decision on which to buy it is important to know how they work. Ionic air cleaners release charged ions into the surrounding air which then bind to pollutants, dust, particulates, bacteria, allergens, etc. in the air, causing them to bind to the surface area of an object instead of floating in the air where you can breathe them in. Generally they fall to the ground and bind to the floor where you can then easily dust or mop to cleanse the room completely. This is in contrast to a traditional air purifier which uses a static filter system that actuallly traps the particulates. These types of air purifiers need to have their filters either replaced or cleaned on a regular basis to continue working properly.
