Ask any child what they think of asparagus and I can almost guarantee that 10 out of 10 will have something bad to say!!! What about adults? What do adults think about asparagus? Asparagus is one of those vegetables we eat because we hear it is good for us. Why is this? Most likely it is the way it has been prepared. Have you tried steamed asparagus? If you don’t like asparagus try using an asparagus steamer. An asparagus steamer guarantees the quality of your vegetables, not over cooked and not under cooked, just right. Steam saturates the asparagus completely viola, the only way to eat asparagus.

I don’t know too many people who would honestly say they love asparagus. They typically only eat it because of its nutritional value. If it is prepared correctly, I actually enjoy it. Does anyone else agree?

I agree asparagus has some nutritional value but not enough of it for me to consider trying it. In the past I tried asparagus because I was talked into it. Each time it was pretty horrible.

Asparagus is great no matter how it is prepared. I like asparagus sauteed in butter, but steaming it is the best. My kids won’t try anything green. The only asparagus they like is on television and with the name Archibald.

Steamed Asparagus is pretty good if it is cooked correctly. I don’t know too many people who know how to cook it but I am sure with the proper tools it could be a very good eat.

I am a meat lover and have no desire to eat asparagus. It would take some pretty strong convincing to get me to think about trying it. There are very few vegetables that I do it and those have to be prepared correctly!!!

How about you vegetarians out there, is asparagus a choice food or just one of those eat it because I need it foods? I would venture to say this is not one of the your vegetables of choice!

Steamed asparagus is the only way to go. I have heard steamed vegetables are the healthiest next to raw ones of course. Has anyone ever tried raw asparagus? I don’t think that is possible, anyone agree?

Steamed Asparagus is ok. No matter what you do to it, it is still asparagus and I really don’t like it all that much. I just eat it for the nutritional value. I am not too crazy about the taste.

If I even mention the word asparagus to my kids, they are like ooh gross. Do we have to eat that? Why don’t kids like it? I think it is too plain perhaps for most kids.

Eating asparagus is good with a great big juicy steak and potatoes. We try to have a vegetable with every meal including a salad. I can’t think of many other foods asparagus is good with.

Is there anyone out there who knows how to introduce asparagus to a toddler? The sight of anything green causes my child to get upset. I realy like asparagus especially steamed but I can’t seem to get my child to even look at it without an attitude.

My child does not mind Asparagus. In fact, if you put a plate of food in front of him vegetables are the first thing he reaches for. This is quite strange but rewarding for a parent to see. Most kids reject vegetables as long as possible.

Any mom would dream of that. My kid sees vegetables and it takes every ounce of energy I have to keep him in his chair. I don’t know if we introduced vegetables to him too late or what?

My son sees meat and gets excited, but show him some asparagus and no matter what you do he will not eat it. I think I remember giving him some asparagus once and he rejected it even then.

I like asparagus but I can honestly say I can’t remember steaming it. It has is typically sauteed and came with a baked potato at some fancy restaurant. I have often wondered if it is acutally good for me.

Asparagus or any vegetables for that matter only hold a nutritional value when it is raw or steamed. I don’t think you can eat asparagus raw, so that only leaves one option if your are interested in nutrition.

Asparagus is ok but I seem to be the only one in my family who likes it. I think it is because of the way it has been perceived by the media. Well, more for me.
