I told my husband about what happened at work today. He knew about the Computer Security Services project that was assigned to me yesterday. I told him that the boss’s assistant took the project and said she would do it. I also shared that I was glad to give it to her. Then my husband said something that made me think I should have kept the assignment. He said, “what if the boss was trying to give you an opportunity to move up with that assignment?” I thought that he might be right. She might be testing my abilities and might have given me more challenging work and I blow it.
