A Class Project Turned Into a Hobby

My teacher thought that it would be a good idea to write a report about a US Silver Eagles coin. I didn’t know what one looked like until I had to write about it. She has collecting them as a hobby for a while and said it would be a good idea for the class to have a hobby too. So, I set out to find what was so special about these coins. I was amazed at all the information online about coin collecting. I didn’t know it was so popular. I found myself very interested and think this could turn into a hobby for me.

My boss was away on vacation for the past few weeks, and when he arrived back, he could not stop bragging about all the places he went. He really enjoys educational trips, so he told us about all the museums and galleries that he toured. The one thing that really stood out from his trip was his viewing a Double Eagle Gold Coin on display in a museum. I am very interested in coins, so I know the value of this piece. When I told him how much that coin usually sells for, his jaw dropped. I wouldn’t be surprised if started up his own coin collection now.

My husband and I were discussing how we would like to invest in something that will give us some type of security for us. We thought about quite a few investments such as bonds, antiques and many other items; however, my husband’s co-worker was telling him about these fabulous Silver Eagle Coins. He told him of their beauty and worth. Naturally, my curiosity was peaked, because I have never heard of these coins. Nevertheless, I did some research and found that they are indeed a valuable investment. I discussed everything that I found out about these items, and it looks like we will be investing.
