There is a huge range of baby nursery music these days. As well as music there are cd’s that relate all different sounds for the baby to listen to. It might be the sounds of the mother’s heartbeat as heard by baby in the womb,the ocean lapping calmly on the shore or evn a babbling brook. I am not convinced myself that a babbling brook, for instance, would calm a distressed baby, or even lull them into sleep.
I suppose though if you wished to engender a calming, peaceful atmosphere into the babies nursery, music and soft lighting is the way to go.
When you are contemplating decorating ideas for a baby nursery, it might be prudent to consider just how you would deliver the music. Strategically placed speakers would render a kind of surround sound system. That might be quite a good idea not to have a single focal point for the sounds to emanate from. If your nursery is a seperate room than yours a baby listening device would be an essential piece of equipment, that might conflict with your planned nursery music though.
