Immediate Help with Medical Dialer

06 Sep

We have done just about everything that we can to make sure that my mom still feels independent but still have her close to us to in case something happens like she falls down and hurts herself or perhaps leaves the oven on after she is done cooking. We can not afford for her to be in a nursing home and I know that she would not want to be in one anyway. Having something like the Medical Alert Dialer makes all the difference to us in knowing that she can just press a button if something were to happen and she could get immediate help.

Hard Limits

01 Sep

After my mom’s arthritis hit her real hard, she started having more and more problems getting around. It was hard for her to be so limited in her mobility and it was hard for me knowing that she was such an outgoing and active person and her body was slowing her down. I had decided to get her a scooter to help her get around but what sure exactly what type to get. After doing a ton of research on different manufacturers and stores and having to decide between a 3 and 4 wheeled model, I decided to go with a CTM Mobility Scooter.

Aidcall Alarms Saved My Mother

26 Aug

My mother is getting older now and I wanted to do everything that I could to protect her. Although she is currently living alone it had become much harder for her to get around. I decided to give her the Aidcall Alarms system to give me a little bit more peace of mind. One day while she was walking around her home, she slip and fell and hit her head on the table. She was not able to get back up; however she was able to push the button to alarm authorities that she was in trouble. I am so glad that I had the alarm system for her.

Choosing the Perfect Mobility Cart

19 Aug

There are many different types of mobility carts available, but choosing the right one can be a bit confusing.  If you’re unsure of the type of scooter you need, you may want to talk to a qualified dealer.  There are gas powered and electric scooters, four-wheeled and three-wheeled scooters, each of them with benefits.  If you like to travel, you may want to consider a mobility cart that fold flat for easy storage.  It’s a good idea to make a detailed list of what you expect from a cart before you talk to a dealer.  With some careful consideration and a bit of research, you will find the cart that provides the freedom you’re after.

Looking for Medical Alert Devices

08 Aug

Posted by Wonda,

It a becoming more and more obvious that I need to start looking at medical alert devices for my father. He is getting along in years and he wants to live at home as long as he can. We want to keep him independenat as long as we can because I don’t think he will last long in a nursing home.I have been looking at all of the options and I think the watch kind would be best. I have been doing a lot of research on the internet and there is a lot of information available. There are a lot of sales going on right now and some even offer free shipping. Now that’s a good deal!

Just a Little Help

21 Jul

There are signs of decreasing mobility that concerned family members must be on the look out for when they have an aging matriarch or patriarch. Does he or she frequently lean on people, furniture, or walls? Does he or she often trip or stumble? Has he or she ever lost their balance suddenly? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then it may be time to consider Medical Walkers. They should be purchased at the first signs of instability to avoid a potentially dangerous fall resulting in broken bones. Walkers provide just the right amount of stability for seniors who need help.

Why I think mobility scooter usage is abused.

25 Jun

Posted by Virgen,

Have you ever noticed some people riding round on one of those 4 wheel mobility scooters seem like their only mobility affliction is because they’re so obese? I mean, come on people, if you’re that fat you have to have a chariot to get you around maybe you should sit back & reflect what you’re doing! Let’s face it, likely one of the reasons you got so big is you never exercised your body enough in the first place. Don’t you think you are merely contributing to your obesity by plunking your butt on your scooter every day. Don’t you think you’d be better off parking the little beauty & walking just a little more.

Just my 2 cents worth…
