When I applied for financial aid through my university, I was able to get both Grant Money and individual student loans. These are two different forms of aid, but I decided to accept both as they would help me pay for my classes. Some people have their parents to help them pay for school, but I want to pay for everything on my own. I enjoy getting Grant Money as I do not have to pay this back like my student loans. It makes me feel good to pay for my own education, even if it means graduating with a little bit of debt. At least I was able to get a low interest rate on these loans.
