The United States Immigration Naturalization service is operated under the authority of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services department and is considered to be an agency of the U.S. federal government. The purpose of this agency is to facilitate the procedures that need to be followed by those who are not U.S citizens. This agency is for those who are seeking to emigrate from their country of origin and therefore are seeking US citizenship. Because of it being a department of the United States federal government, many immigrants are very much intimidated when they have to deal with the United States Immigration and Naturalization agency. It is the division that must be dealt with if an immigrant wishes to complete the process of immigration to the US.
